Kassel Ventures Philippines, Inc. (Kassel) is a 100% Filipino company established on April 6, 1998 by a team of professional managers from Dutch multinational Philips Electronics & Lighting, Inc. The team’s expertise in OEM (original equipment manufacturing) was put to the fore as Alan L. Lee, former General Manager and 30-year veteran of the Consumer Products Division of Philips Philippines, spearheaded the entire start-up process that encompassed product sourcing and selection, quality assurance testing, importation, packaging and label design, marketing, distribution, sales, trade relations & after- sales servicing. This led to the birth of the KASSEL brand of home appliances and thereafter, the BRIGHTLUX brand of LED lights that now…expands to BrightLux LED & SOLAR!
“BrightLux” is Kassel’s own, exclusive brand of LED lights,developed to promote the shift from traditional lights (incandescent, fluorescent, etc.) to the more energy-efficient and eco-friendly LED lights. At the time, Filipino consumers & even businesses were still resistant to convert to LED lights due to their comparative higher cost prices. Seeing the market need for value-for-money LED lights and heeding to the call to align to the movement against global warming, KVPI rationalized its product offering and decided to focus mainly on LED lights. Once again, the team’s extensive training in OEM enabled Kassel to directly source quality LED lighting fixtures from the best and most progressive manufacturers that adhere to international standards of quality. From this pool of ISO-certified and professionally-run suppliers, Kassel was and is, able to provide its customers a broad range of quality LED indoor, outdoor, waterproof, submersible, explosion-proof and other specialty lighting products all carrying the BrightLux brand.
BrightLux LED & SOLAR
With the growing movement towards a greener earth, in addition to “energy efficiency,” there is now a worldwide clamor for “cleaner, renewable, sustainable” energy. As it was with LED lights then, BrightLux is once again at the forefront of leading-edge technologies as one of the 1st brands to actively promote and market commercial “Solar” LED lighting products. Since a few years ago, BrightLux Solar streetlights and Solar flood lights were made available as options to regular LED lights. With All-in-One Solar LED lights that already come with a solar panel that is integrated (all-in-1 system) to power each unit, it is now possible to do stand-alone installations without electric connections & the messy electric cables. With the abundance of solar power in the country, the Filipino consumer stands to reap substantial savings in electricity costs with solar energy-based products.To date, many BrightLux Solar streetlights could be seen lined up in the streets and roads of several malls, villages, towns & cities.
